Ritualist armor prices?
I created a Ritualist recently because I loved playing one during the FPE, and I wanted to start a new character to play with my husband (heh I finally got him sucked in!).
I *love* looking at armor, so I started looking at some of the Rt stuff, and I was completely shocked at how expensive some of it was, particularly the Seitung.
Here's one example I tried last night:
Rt Canthan 15k, all 5 pieces:
400 cloth = 6400
40 ink = 11200
+ 75,000 to craft
--------
86,200 gold
Seitung 1.5k, all 5 pieces:
Monstrous claws: 35,200
Hide: 3,400
+ 7500 to craft
--------
46,100 gold
Now, the 15k price is reasonable - I can deal with it being high because it's 15k. But let's take the 15k and the 1.5k out of the picture, and just compare materials. Canthan 15k costs 11,200 in materials. Seitung 1.5k on the other hand costs 38,600 in materials.
This is all based on the trader rates, of course, because it was the best baseline I had. And my numbers could be flawed for all I know, but offhand, it looks pretty off here.
I kinda wonder if monstrous claws are supposed to be more common than they are or something, but it's not just that. Shing Jea seems to be decent, but it's not like most people when they're that early in the game have leather squares falling out their butt (and if they do, I want to talk to them and work on the movie rights).
Has anyone else noticed this, or am I crazy?
(well yeah I'm crazy but... yeah anyway you know what I mean)
And while we're here, anyone have any good thoughts on where to snag some claws?

well instead of buying the armour that req claws you could buy the cheaper armour that requires leather...

That's pretty much what I'm planning on doing, yeah; I'm personally leaning towards Exotic; it didn't win me over at first, but I looked over it in the PvP character gen and realized that it's actually pretty sweet close up. And I've stored up a lot of silk already.

Anyway the OP is right, Seitung 1,5k is by far the most expensive 1,5k armor ever.
Was thinking to buy a Seitung, but probably I'll get a cheaper Shing Jea ...

And I have the 1.5K Seitung Chest and Skirt, mainly because I love how they look.
I guess I'm a sucker...

I have the Seitung Ritualist armor as well - I noticed that the price to sell back to the merchant is more like that of 15k, not 1.5k.
